Studying and manipulating progenitor identity and fate in the postnatal forebrain.

Throughout postnatal life in mammals, progenitors are located in the subventricular zone (SVZ) of the lateral ventricles. These progenitors are heterogeneous and give rise to distinct glial and neuronal subtypes depending on their spatial location. I will present our current strategy to explore the full scope of this regional heterogeneity and identify the mechanisms regulating it.
