Laboratory of cognitive mecanisms (EMC)

The Laboratory of cognitive mechanisms brings together specialists in the study of human cognition on the question of mental representations (symbolic or non-symbolic) and neural substrates involved in emotions, attention, language, memory and action. Fundamental and applied research is conducted in healthy populations (children, young adults, older adults), as well as people suffering from pathologies (Alzheimer patients, brain injured, psychiatric) and disorders such as dyslexia, dysphasia, deafness… The methods used include the classical paradigms of experimental cognitive psychology, neuropsychological dissociation in brain-injured patients, functional brain imaging and computational simulation.
